Designed by George Little Field Smith and built in 1870 in an Italianate style, though substantially remodeled over the years, the building served as the Prattville courthouse until 1906.

The Historic Autauga County Courthouse, now the Old Courthouse Flea Market, is part of the Daniel Pratt Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
