Originally completed in 1824 in a Federal style, the Annapolis courthouse was substantially remodeled between 1892-95 by architect Jackson C. Gott into the brick Georgian Revival structure which stands today.
Remodeled and expanded several times in later years, the Anne Arundel County Courthouse is part of the Colonial Annapolis Historic District, which is a National Historic Landmark.
