Designed by J.J. Kane and built in 1886, the limestone Romanesque Revival courthouse, the county’s fourth, was altered in WPA-driven renovations in the 1930s which included the removal of the building’s clock tower. Renovations in the 2000s, with Architexas serving as the lead architect, led to the restoration of the Meridian courthouse to its original condition, including the restoration of the clock tower in 2007.
The Bosque County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
