Designed by Lewis Milton Wirtz and completed in 1937, the WPA Moderne Burnet courthouse, the county’s third, was constructed with the same pink granite used to build the Texas State Capitol.
Restored in 2002, the Burnet County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
