Designed by W.C. Dodson and built in 1890, the Granbury courthouse continues to host county offices, though most judicial functions have been relocated a few blocks to the west to the Hood County Justice Center, which was completed in 2006.
The limestone Hood County Courthouse, a Second Empire structure, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
