Designed by Voelcker And Dixon, the Jacksboro courthouse was constructed in 1940.

The Jack County Courthouse, a Moderne structure built of limestone and the fourth courthouse to serve the county, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.  The Jack County Courthouse was renovated in the early 2010s.
