Designed by E.H. Hosford And Co., the Mason courthouse was built in 1909.

The granite Mason County Courthouse, a Beaux-Arts structure and the county’s third courthouse, is a Texas Historic Landmark and is included in the Mason Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
