Designed by George L. Burnett, the Montague courthouse was constructed in 1912. The Classical Revival structure originally had an impressive clock tower, which was removed after sustaining damage in a 1941 wind storm.
Renovated in 1986 by Conrad Staley And Associates, the Montague County Courthouse is a Texas Historic Landmark.
