A new courthouse is planned for Canadian County, in El Reno, Oklahoma.
A spring 2027 opening is planned for the new courthouse. MA+ Architecture will serve as the project architect for the projected four-story building.
Construction should begin within a few months. The projected cost is currently $71 million.
The existing Canadian County Courthouse will remain standing, with offices to be converted to other county use.
The current Canadian County Judicial Building was designed by Nicek Sherman Lester Associates and was completed in 1988.
