A new Hudson County courthouse is nearing completion in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The building, to be known as the Honorable Frank J. Guarini Justice Complex, is scheduled for completion by late 2024.
The new courthouse, designed by Rafael Vinoly Architects, will house 24 courtrooms as well as the Hudson County Prosecutor, the Surrogate, and the Sheriff’s Department. Amenities inside the Guarini Justice Complex will include a public cafeteria, a law library, and training spaces for staff.
Hudson County is currently served by the historic Justice William J. Brennan Jr. Courthouse. The current Hudson County courthouse was constructed between 1906 and 1910 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
