A new courthouse for Sacramento County, in Sacramento, California, is nearing completion.
The structure, to be officially called the Tani Cantil-Sakauye Sacramento County Courthouse, should be completed around December of this year. Construction on the new Sacramento courthouse began in 2020. The new courthouse will have 53 courtrooms spread over its 18 stories.
NBBJ is the architect for the new courthouse, which will replace the existing Sacramento County Courthouse. The current Sacramento courthouse, officially known as the Gordon D. Schaber Sacramento County Courthouse, was completed in 1965.
