Designed by J. Riely Gordon, the Victoria courthouse was built in 1892. The limestone Richardson Romanesque courthouse, the county’s second, hosted the county’s judicial functions until a more modern courthouse opened next door in 1967.
The historic Victoria County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
