Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the historic Escambia County Courthouse in Brewton, Alabama.

Designed by Rudolph Bundey, the building, now officially known as The Leigh Place, was completed in 1885 and was the first Brewton courthouse. Escambia County’s previous county seat was in Pollard.  A new Escambia County courthouse was built in Brewton in 1902, after which time the building was substantially remodeled and served a variety of purposes.
