Dardanelle is one of two county seats for Yell County; Danville is also a county seat and has its own courthouse. The brick Dardanelle courthouse, a Classical Revival structure, was designed by Frank W. Gibb and built around 1885. The Yell County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
