Formerly known as the Los Angeles County Criminal Courts Building, the building was renamed for Foltz, the first female lawyer on the west coast of the United States, in 2002. The Los Angeles courthouse has hosted many high-profile trials over the years, most notably the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1995. Designed by Adrian Wilson Associates, the modern courthouse was completed in 1972.
