Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the United States Post Office And Courthouse, located in both Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas.

Straddling the state line between Texas and Arkansas, the structure is the only federal building in the country located in two states.  The Texas half of the building serves the United States District Court For The Eastern District Of Texas, and the Arkansas half of of the building serves the serves the United States District Court For The Western District Of Arkansas.  The Texarkana courthouse, a Beaux Arts structure, was designed by Witt, Seibert And Halsey of Texarkana and Perkins, Chatten And Hammond of Chicago.  The federal courthouse, constructed of Arkansas limestone on a base of Texas pink granite and completed in 1933, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
