Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the historic Ada County Courthouse in Boise, Idaho.

Designed in a collaborative effort by Tourtellotte And Hummel and Wayland And Fennel, the Art Deco courthouse, constructed with white Indiana limestone as a WPA project, was completed in 1939.  After the county government relocated to a new Ada County Courthouse in the early 2000s, the building hosted the Idaho State Legislature while the state capitol, located immediately to the west, was being renovated.  The Boise courthouse is part of the Boise Capitol Area District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
