Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the historic Shelby County Courthouse in Center, Texas.

Built in 1885, architect John Joseph Emmett Gibson used the castles of his native Ireland as inspiration for the design of the Gothic Revival Center courthouse.  Restored by The Williams Company in 1999, the historic Shelby County Courthouse, which now houses a museum, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
