Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the Newton County Courthouse in Newton, Texas.
Completed in 2012 with funding from the Texas Historical Commission, the Newton courthouse is a recreation of the 1902 Second Empire courthouse which was destroyed by a fire in 2000. The Newton County Courthouse, the fourth to serve the county, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
