Images of the District Of Columbia Court Of Appeals have been added to Capitolshots Photography.
This National Historic Landmark is the first building from the Washington, DC to have been added to the website. The District Of Columbia Court Of Appeals is the district’s equivalent of a state supreme court.
I had thought I would be adding images of two buildings: not just the Court Of Appeals, but the District Of Columbia Superior Court, which stands just across the street from the Court Of Appeals. But for only the second time in my years of photographing courthouses, and for the first time in over 15 years, I somehow photographed the wrong building instead! Right next to the Superior Court is the very similar-looking Henry J. Daly Building. It certainly had the appearance of a courthouse, but only when I began preparing captions and tags for the photos of the building did I realize that I made this mistake.
I’ll blame the early morning and the lack of time for my coffee to kick in.
Photos of the District Of Columbia Court Of Appeals are included in the new collection of District Of Columbia Courthouses, which hopefully one day will also include images of the District Of Columbia Superior Court.
