Broward County Judicial Complex (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)
Broward County Judicial Complex (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)

Photos of 32 additional buildings have been added to the album of Florida courthouses.  Close to 400 images have been added to Capitolshots with these new courthouses, all of which were taken at the end of January 2024.

These courthouses are in the southern half of the state.  Images of courthouses from all counties Orlando south are now included with the exception of courthouses from Miami-Dade County and Monroe County (Key West).

I think my favorite image from the trip is the image displayed here of the Broward County Judicial Complex.  It’s not so much that the Fort Lauderdale courthouse, dedicated in 2017, is an exceptional building, but rather that the available angles to capture the complete building correctly were quite challenging, but I figured out a solution.  It’s good to know, even after doing this for so many years, that I can still learn as I go to get the best possible images.

Also included in the collection are images of the historic Manatee County Courthouse in Bradenton.  The Bradenton courthouse is the oldest surviving courthouse in Florida.
