Designed by Sanguinet And Staats, the Paris courthouse was completed in 1917.  The Lamar County Courthouse, a Classical Revival structure which incorporates Romanesque features, was constructed of granite from the same quarries as the granite used for the State Capitol.

The Lamar County Courthouse is a Texas Historic Landmark.
