Dallas Hall (University Park, Texas)

Photos of Dallas Hall on the campus of Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas. Designed by Shepley, Rutan And Coolidge in a manner similar to The Rotunda at the University of Virginia, the brick Classical Revival structure opened in 1915 and remains the centerpiece of the SMU campus to this day. Dallas Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.

Photos of Geisel Library on the campus of the University of California, San Diego, in San Diego, California. Named for Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, the brutalist structure was designed by William L. Pereira Associates and was completed on the UCSD campus in 1970.

Main Building St. Edwards University (Austin, Texas)

Photos of Main Building on the campus of St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Nicholas J. Clayton designed the Gothic Revival structure, which was completed in 1903 and replaced an essentially identical building, also designed by Clayton, which had been completed in 1888 and destroyed by fire earlier in 1903. Main Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (Los Angeles, California)

Photos of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. Part of the Los Angeles Music Center (officially named the Performing Arts Center Of Los Angeles County), the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion was designed by Welton Becket and opened in 1964. The building has hosted the Academy Awards many times over the years. It is the current home of the Los Angeles Opera.
