A new courthouse is under construction in Sevier County, Tennessee.
Ground was broken for the new Sevier County Courts Building in the fall of 2023. Construction is anticipated to last approximately two years.
The projected cost for the new Sevier County courthouse is $34 million. The building will be located next to the current Sevier County Courthouse.
Renovation work will begin on the current Sevierville courthouse, perhaps best known for the statue of Dolly Parton on its grounds, in the summer of 2005. The Sevierville courthouse, designed by Kenneth McDonald, was built in 1895 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
