Originally designed by Jacob Brump, Alonson Spauling, and .H. Lindsay, the Pine Bluff courthouse was built in 1840 and has been renovated and expanded over the years. The Jefferson County Courthouse is part of the Pine Bluff Commercial Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
