Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the historic Irion County Courthouse in Sherwood, Texas.
Designed by Martin And Moodie and built in 1901, the limestone Second Empire structure served as the Irion County Courthouse until the county seat was relocated to Mertzon in the late 1930s. The Sherwood courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
