Completed in 1931, the Austin courthouse was designed by Page Brothers. The limestone building, a Moderne structure and the third courthouse to serve Travis County, was dedicated to Sweatt, the first Black student admitted to the University Of Texas School Of Law, in 2005.

Photos of the ruins of the historic Reagan County Courthouse in the ghost town of Stiles, Texas. Built in 1911 and designed by William Martin, the limestone structure served as the Reagan County Courthouse until the county seat was relocated to Big Lake after Stiles was bypassed by the railroad. The building, which is all that remains of Stiles, was largely destroyed by arson on Christmas Eve 1999. The historic Stiles courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
