Capitolshots Photography’s collection of images of the Historic Reagan County Courthouse in the ghost town of Stiles, Texas.

Built in 1911 and designed by William Martin, the limestone structure served as the Reagan County Courthouse until the county seat was relocated to Big Lake after Stiles was bypassed by the railroad.  The building, which is all that remains of Stiles, was largely destroyed by arson on Christmas Eve 1999.  The historic Stiles courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark.
