Designed by Voelcker And Dixon, the Rockwall courthouse was completed in 1941. The historic Rockwall County Courthouse, a Moderne structure, was renovated by Phoenix I Restoration And Construction, Ltd. in 2002. The building continues to host county offices, though the county judicial system has relocated to another building.
