Designed by Henry T. Phelps, the Uvalde courthouse was built in 1927. The brick Uvalde County Courthouse, a Classical Revival structure, is a Texas Historic Landmark and is included in the Uvalde Downtown Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
